Liam and Noel Gallagher Officially Confirm Upcoming Oasis Reunion

For years, fans have been begging the Gallaghers to reunite Oasis, one of the UK’s biggest bands since The Beatles.

Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher have officially announced a 2025 reunion of Oasis, nearly 15 years after the band’s breakup.

In a statement, the Gallagher brothers declared, “The wait is over. Come witness the reunion of Oasis in the Oasis Live 20 tour, starting in July next year.”

The tour will kick off in the UK with performances in Cardiff, Manchester, London, and Edinburgh before heading to Ireland.

Details about other artists performing alongside the brothers have not been revealed.

Oasis achieved success in the 90s and early 2000s with hits like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” from their album “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”

The band split up in 2009 due to tensions between the brothers, with Noel Gallagher citing an inability to work with Liam any longer.

‘History’

Reacting to the reunion news, Abbey Road Studios, where Oasis recorded some of their songs, described the reunion as a historic moment.

Oasis, formed in Manchester in 1991 by the Gallagher brothers, quickly rose to fame with their debut album “Definitely Maybe” in 1994.

The brothers’ conflicts eventually led to the band’s breakup in 2009 during a festival in Paris.

Despite continuing their music careers separately, Liam and Noel have taken jabs at each other over the years.

Rumors of the reunion sparked a resurgence in Oasis’ popularity, leading to a significant increase in streams on platforms like Spotify.

Britpop

Oasis was a key player in the Britpop era of the 90s, competing with bands like Blur in the charts.

Britpop emerged as a response to the grunge music scene in the US, offering a brighter sound reminiscent of British pop from the 60s.

British music continued to thrive in the 90s with acts like Radiohead and Coldplay, but Oasis remained a standout, often compared to The Beatles in terms of popularity.

The European leg of the Oasis Live 20 tour begins in Cardiff on July 4 and 5, followed by shows in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin throughout August.

Exclusive European dates have been confirmed, with tickets going on sale at the end of August.

Stay tuned for more information about additional tour dates outside Europe.
