Ukraine’s attack shatters hopes of Harris and Biden’s Russia ‘reset’ plan
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is taking a proactive approach.
First, he instructed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to bring their struggle to Kursk, a region inside Russia.
In September, during a United Nations meeting, Zelensky aims to challenge the Harris-Biden administration’s defensive strategy in Ukraine.
Perpetual defense is no longer a viable option.
Ukraine is determined to emerge victorious, and Zelensky is seeking President Biden’s support.
However, with Biden being an inactive president, Zelensky plans to present his strategy to Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.
Neither of them prioritizes ending the war in Ukraine.
Therefore, Zelensky must appeal directly to the American people as Ukraine’s importance diminishes in the current presidential election cycle.
His upcoming visit to the UN General Assembly in New York will serve as a pivotal moment for Ukraine.
Recognizing the opportunity, Zelensky plans to capitalize on his advantage in momentum, initiative, and maneuvering against the Kremlin.
Zelensky needs access to American weapons systems and the authority to use them, as well as American support to finalize the deal.
Zelensky is striving to challenge the idea that Americans will only do the right thing when all other options have been exhausted.
As the conflict in Ukraine enters its 31st month, the US and NATO must rethink their strategy.
The current approach of defending Ukraine to weaken Russia has not been successful.
The ongoing war has resulted in numerous casualties on both sides, and Russia continues to intensify its military efforts.
The Harris-Biden administration’s restrictions on weapons have proven ineffective in deterring Russian aggression.
Efforts to negotiate a peaceful resolution have been futile, and the situation remains unresolved.
It is time for the US to fully support Zelensky and Ukraine to bring an end to the conflict.
With no clear plan from Biden, backing Zelensky’s proposal is essential for a just resolution of the war.
Ukraine deserves its moment of triumph.
