Fisher-Price Baby Biceps Gift Set Recalls Dumbbell Toy for Choking Risk

Health Canada has issued a recall for the dumbbell toy in the Fisher-Price Baby Biceps Gift Set due to a choking hazard.

The kettlebell toy, protein shake bottle, and wearable headband included in the set are not part of the recall.

The grey caps on the ends of the dumbbell toys can come off, presenting a choking risk to infants.

As of Aug. 15, Fisher-Price has received four reports in Canada and seven in the United States of the dumbbell toy ends detaching, with no reported injuries.

Health Canada states that the affected products were distributed in Canada between June 2020 and April 2024, with approximately 44,500 units sold.

Customers are advised to cease using the dumbbell toy immediately, remove it from young children, and contact Fisher-Price for a partial refund.

The recall was issued jointly by Health Canada, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, and Mattel, the owner of Fisher-Price.
