Ethel Kennedy, Matriarch of the Kennedy Family, Passes Away at 96 | US News
Human rights activist Ethel Kennedy – the widow of assassinated senator Robert F. Kennedy – has passed away.
The 96-year-old passed away from “complications related to a stroke” she suffered last week, as confirmed by her family.
In a heartfelt statement, her family announced: “It is with our hearts full of love that we announce the passing of our amazing grandmother, Ethel Kennedy.
“In addition to a lifetime dedicated to social justice and human rights, our mother leaves behind nine children, 34 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished her deeply.”
