Toronto Police Determine the Identity of Victim of Suspected Serial Killer
Toronto police have identified the alleged final victim of a woman who has been charged in the death of three individuals in Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Hamilton.
Vu was the first victim in a string of deaths that took place between Oct. 1 and Oct. 3.
Sabrina Kauldhar, 30, of Toronto, has been charged in all three deaths. She is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection with Vu’s death.
She has also been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Lance Cunningham, 47, in Niagara Falls and first-degree murder in the death of Mario Bilich, 77, in Hamilton.
TPS said that Kauldhar was arrested on Oct. 3 in a Burlington hotel.
He also said she had previous interactions with the police.
Cunningham was killed on Oct. 2 in John Allen Park in Niagara Falls. Medical care had been given after he was found with serious injuries, police said. He died at the scene.
A day later, Bilich died after Kauldhar allegedly followed and attacked him in a parking lot in Hamilton. Authorities said he was found with injuries consistent with a stabbing. Paramedics were called to the scene but Bilich died after being taken to hospital.
Hamilton Police Det.-Sgt. Sara Beck said during the news conference that Bilich was well-known in the community.
“He is a retired teacher with the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic School Board,” she said. “His family is very involved in the community.”
She said that Bilich had been with friends at a social club before the incident and that Kauldhar had followed him from there.
“We have her present there, following him then to the area of his vehicle, and then leaving the area shortly after the offense is committed.”
