New York really comes alive during the holiday season with the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. With its 100th anniversary just around the corner, this year’s parade will showcase 17 giant character balloons, 22 floats, 15 novelty and heritage inflatables, 11 marching bands, 700 clowns, 10 performance groups, and a lineup of stars too long to list.

The parade route starts on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and ends at Macy’s Herald Square flagship store on 34th Street. This location serves as a stage and backdrop for exciting performances.

What Time Does the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Start?

For the second consecutive year, the parade will kick off at 8:30 a.m. on November 28, in all time zones.
