Omer Neutra, Abducted by Hamas on October 7, Found Dead – One America News Network

A New Yorker kidnapped by the terrorist group Hamas on October 7^th has been confirmed dead as of Monday, according to the Israeli military.

Omar Neutra had been presumed to be alive, but it was revealed that he was killed during the initial terrorist attacks, with Hamas subsequently taking his body to the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported.

Omer Neutra, 21, a US-citizen in Hamas captivity, was declared dead.

Experts determined that he was killed fighting Hamas death squads on Oct. 7.

Hamas continues to hold his body in Gaza, one of 101 hostages.

The 21-year-old had been serving as a tank commander in the IDF.

“Omer was a man of values, blessed with talents and a Zionist in every sense of the word,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated.

“He immigrated to Israel to enlist in the IDF, chose a combat path and was selected to command and lead,” he continued.

Furthermore, Neutra was stationed with the 7^th Armored Brigade’s 77^th Battalion near Nahal Oz when Hamas launched an ambush on his unit during the attack.

According to the New York Post, his parents reported that his tank was set ablaze by terrorists, with footage capturing Hamas militants surrounding the armored vehicle and extracting four men.

Neutra was among seven American Israelis believed still held captive in Gaza, with four now reported dead. Recently, Hamas released a video of Edan Alexander, indicating he remains alive.

In a statement on Monday, President Joe Biden expressed that he and First Lady Jill Biden were “devastated and outraged” by Neutra’s death. “A Long Island native, Omer planned to return to the United States for college. He dreamed of dedicating himself to building peace,” the statement read. “To all the families of those still held hostage: We see you. We are with you. And I will not stop working to bring your loved ones back home where they belong.”

Meanwhile, the outgoing Biden administration has stated that it is making another effort for a ceasefire and the release of the remaining hostages, following nearly a year of stalled indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas.
