During the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the White House on Thursday evening, President Joe Biden startled the audience by removing his stocking cap, revealing an unexpectedly wild hairstyle that resembled a character from Charles Dickens’ festive classic “A Christmas Carol” rather than the nation’s leader.

His snow-white hair appeared frizzy, making the president look both quirky and ethereal.
Later, while engaging with a cluster of journalists, he humorously remarked, “you’re still here?” as the attendees remained bundled up in the chilly air on the South Lawn after his remarks.
Images of Biden quickly went viral online, drawing comparisons to characters from the beloved Christmas film.
One clever social media user took the chance to create a photoshopped image showing President-elect Donald Trump seemingly “blowing” on his former opponent, resembling the character Jack Frost.
“Bro’s hair looks like Bill Murray’s in ‘King Pin,’” one user quipped, referencing the 1996 bowling comedy.
Others noted that Biden had stepped out of “president mode” to resemble a combination of a mad scientist and the crypt keeper.
Another commenter stated: “Biden’s entire presidency summed up in a hairdo.”
“The theme is ‘A Season of Peace and Light’ — reflecting the peace we embrace as we remember our blessings and the light we cherish as we gather with loved ones,” Biden articulated, acknowledging the holiday theme introduced by First Lady Jill Biden earlier in the week.
“During this time of reflection and renewal, many will sing ‘O Holy Night.’ A line in the song states, ‘His law is love; His gospel is peace,’” he continued, as the second Catholic president.
“My hope for you and the nation now and in the future is that we persist in seeking the light of liberty, love, kindness, compassion, dignity, and decency,” he concluded.
“Merry Christmas, America. Merry Christmas to everyone. May God bless you all, and may God protect our troops.”
Biden’s Christmas address on Thursday marked the official start of the holiday season.
