Jay-Z Allegedly Involved in Assault of 13-Year-Old Girl with P Diddy After MTV Video Music Awards | UK News

The rapper Jay-Z has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000, allegedly alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The claimant, referred to as “Jane Doe”, alleges that the incident took place at an after-party.

A federal lawsuit – which initially named only Combs – was refiled on Sunday in New York to include Jay-Z, whose birth name is Shawn Carter.

Both parties have denied the claims.

According to NBC News, Sky’s US news partner, the lawsuit alleges that the girl was dropped off at the VMAs at Radio City Music Hall by a friend – having no ticket, she attempted to convince various limousine drivers to allow her entry to the show or the after-party.

One driver purportedly informed Doe that he was employed by Combs and that she “fit what Diddy was looking for”. The lawsuit states that the driver later picked her up, and after about 20 minutes, she was taken to a white house with a U-shaped driveway. Upon arrival, she was made to sign a document she thought was a non-disclosure agreement.

She was allegedly provided with a drink that made her feel “woozy, lightheaded and felt [like] she needed to lie down”.

According to the lawsuit, shortly after this, both P Diddy and Jay-Z entered the room, with P Diddy exclaiming: “You are ready to party!”

At this point, she alleges that Carter removed her clothing, restrained her and raped her while Combs and an unnamed female celebrity observed. The lawsuit also claims that Combs raped her while Carter and the woman looked on.

After the attack, she “grabbed her clothes” and fled to the nearest gas station to call her father.

She is seeking unspecified damages.

‘Heinous allegations’

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I urge you to file a criminal complaint rather than a civil one!! Whoever would commit such a crime against a minor should be incarcerated, would you not agree?” Jay-Z stated to NBC News.

“These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

Jay-Z took aim at the lawyer, Tony Buzbee, who filed the complaint: “My heart and support go out to genuine victims in the world who have to witness how their life story is reimagined for profit by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.”

Jay-Z has been married to Beyoncé since 2008 after the couple first met around 2000.

In his statement to NBC, he expressed: “My only sorrow is for my family. My wife and I will need to explain to our children, one of whom is at an age where her friends will likely see the press and have questions about the nature of these allegations, the cruelty and greed of individuals. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”

“Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physicists, would believe the ludicrous claims you have directed at me that, were it not for the seriousness regarding harm to children, would be laughable,” he added.

Texas-based Mr. Buzbee remarked to Sky News: “The pleading speaks for itself. This is a very serious matter that will be litigated in court.”

Combs, a three-time Grammy winner and one of the most prominent hip-hop producers in the last three decades, is currently facing a series of lawsuits from women alleging sexual assault.

Mr. Buzbee announced on October 1 that he is representing 120 accusers in lawsuits against Combs, who is scheduled to go to trial next year facing sex trafficking charges.

New lawsuits filed against P Diddy

The legal representatives for Combs have rejected the claims of rape, sexual assault, and misconduct, stating in a prior declaration: “Mr. Combs and his legal team have complete confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone – whether adult or minor, male or female.”
