Golden Globes: British Stars Eddie Redmayne and Keira Knightley Nominated for Awards | Entertainment & Arts News
Among the nominees for next year’s Golden Globe Awards are British talents Eddie Redmayne and Kiera Knightley.
Redmayne appeared in Sky Atlantic’s gripping thriller Day Of The Jackal, while Knightley takes the lead role in Netflix’s espionage series Black Doves.
The nominations were revealed live from LA by actors Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut, marking a significant step in the awards season and hinting at the films that will be in the spotlight as we approach the Oscars next year.
Distinct from other awards, the Golden Globes honor both television and film, categorizing nominees by genre into drama or comedy and musical, creating a vast pool of contenders.
The previous year’s nominations were dominated by Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which ultimately claimed the best picture award at the Oscars.
The Golden Globes, having previously faced backlash regarding diversity issues, conducted the 2022 event without an audience as part of their recovery efforts.
The winners of the Golden Globes will be revealed on Sunday, January 5, with comedian Nikki Glaser serving as the host.
