Donald Trump Boldly Shares His Message with the American People, Unlike Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
Whether you admire him or not, any reasonable observer must acknowledge that President-elect Donald Trump is completely unafraid to present his case to both the media and the public.
He’s been openly expressing his opinions to The Post. Just look at his significant interview with Kristen Welker from NBC News that aired this past weekend.
Trump participated in a “Meet the Press” pre-recorded interview where he directly confronted the falsehoods and misrepresentations that the mainstream media has relentlessly pushed against him since 2016 (with NBC being a major contributor).
And the verdict?
He’s not transforming the Justice Department into his personal enforcer (in stark contrast to Joe Biden).
He has stated he will not prosecute Joe Biden unless advised to by Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel (again, a significant departure from his predecessor).
He has no plans to cut Social Security.
He intends to remain part of NATO, while expecting other member countries to fulfill their financial obligations, just as he did during his first term.
Once more, Trump has consistently articulated his policy ambitions.
Anyone who has followed American politics knows he has voiced the same opinions — loudly and publicly — since the 1980s, long before he launched his presidential campaign.
You may agree or disagree.
And countless Americans do disagree, even with his huge electoral win.
What he doesn’t do is disappear for years on end.
Nor does he obscure and lie about his beliefs in a bid to appeal to various party factions or win over journalists.
These were the tactics favored by Biden and Trump’s electoral rival, VP Kamala Harris.
They ended in failure, despite the press’s eager complicity (which included, in Kamala’s case, providing editorial cover for her disastrous, jumbled responses to easy questions).
Why?
Because Americans can perceive when politicians are being evasive and passive.
And they despise it, regardless of their political beliefs.
So hats off to Trump — and cheers for politicians who embrace democracy without fear.
