Search Launched for ‘Armed and Dangerous’ Suspect Carrying AR-15 – One America News Network

A search is currently ongoing for an “armed and dangerous” individual wielding an AR-15 in Coweta County, Georgia.

On Wednesday, officials from the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol reported they were looking for a suspect who had led law enforcement on a chase and managed to escape after a shooting incident.
Details regarding his clothing or other physical identifiers have not been provided.
The pursuit concluded near Grantville, at the intersection of South Highway 29 and Calico Loop, where the armed suspect fled on foot after abandoning his vehicle.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a series of shootouts resulted in injuries to a K9 officer. The injured dog has been airlifted to a hospital and is undergoing surgery.
“Those in the area are urged to stay inside, lock their doors, and report any suspicious behavior,” stated a community alert from the sheriff’s office.
Students at Glanton Elementary School, situated two miles from the shooting location, were safely released to their parents and guardians after an initial delayed release protocol.
