Attempts to Conceal Biden’s Cognitive Decline: Correspondence
The Concern: The Wall Street Journal’s revelation about the White House concealing President Biden’s cognitive decline.
New reports have unveiled the extent of President Biden’s mental and physical deterioration throughout his presidency (“Coverup in his 1st 100 days,” Dec. 19).
Many, including myself, realized Biden’s cognitive and physical challenges soon after he assumed office.
This disparity highlights the overwhelming bias present in the media and the naivete of a large portion of the public.
Fortunately, I have been a long-time subscriber to a reputable news outlet — The Post.

The attempt to conceal these issues began long before Biden’s inauguration. His 2020 presidential campaign was a meticulously crafted strategy designed to keep him largely out of the public eye.
When he did occasionally step out from his basement to deliver speeches, his staff and the press were quick to offer excuses for his blunders.
Trust in the Democrats has sharply declined — and both political parties are left pondering the reasons why.

It’s shocking how many people have been deceived by this utter travesty orchestrated by the left.
I find it hard to believe those who praised Joe Biden for his mental acuity genuinely believed this illusion. Wasn’t his stumbling and incompetence a significant warning sign?
Biden’s decline serves as a disturbing reminder of how “Trump derangement syndrome” has taken control of liberal America,
They truly thought Joe was capable: That encapsulates their delusion.

Biden’s difficulties were unmistakable to anyone who has cared for someone with similar conditions.
Jill Biden is a pivotal factor. She was aware of his limitations long before he was nominated — as were his advisors. Jill and the Biden family should have indicated a need to step back.
Instead, they positioned themselves just off-stage at events, speeches, and debates — guiding and encouraging him. Few seemed to recognize or care that Biden was not solely responsible for the problematic events during his administration. This situation could have been prevented.

The Concern: Governor Kathy Hochul’s taxpayer-funded stadium for the Buffalo Bills.
Governor Hochul didn’t trick the Bills into a new stadium; the citizens of New York were duped (“Kat got Buffaloed,” Business, Dec. 17).
No conversation is happening about the no-bid concessions contract, which could be worth millions annually, awarded to her husband’s company. Her family has benefitted while she has obligated taxpayers to fund the new stadium.
You reap what you sow — and now residents can expect tax increases to fill her financial gap.

Hochul’s decision to support the Bills came as no surprise: This is common practice for municipalities and states — even though studies generally indicate that the economic benefits of major league sports teams in nearby areas are minimal.
Of course, it’s easy for politicians to continually bow to demanding owners and finance extravagant new stadiums when it’s not their own money on the line.

What the article misses is that owner Terry Pegula stated he would cover the costs associated with overruns for the new stadium. He sold a minority interest in the Bills to fund that cost overrun.
Did he profit significantly from selling a minority stake? Yes. Is he also contributing considerably towards the stadium expenses? Yes.
