10 Confirmed Dead, 30 Injured After Vehicle Strikes Crowd in New Orleans, Authorities Report



The event occurred in the early hours of January 1.

Several individuals have died, and many others are injured after a vehicle crashed into a large gathering in New Orleans, according to the city’s Homeland Security agency.

The incident took place at Canal and Bourbon Street, as NOLA Ready reported at 5:55 a.m. local time.

The agency has not yet provided further details in response to inquiries.

This location is merely a few blocks away from the Caesars Superdome, where the Allstate Sugar Bowl game is scheduled to occur later on Wednesday.
