Following Jill Biden’s disappointment concerning Nancy Pelosi’s move to end President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, Pelosi’s daughter responded sharply.

Alexandra Pelosi likened Jill Biden to Shakespeare’s Lady Macbeth, suggesting she is a manipulative figure seeking control over her husband’s ambitions.
“If I were Lady McBiden, I’d don my big girl pants, play the long game, and consider my husband’s legacy,” she remarked.
“There aren’t many left in America who have something positive to say about Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi is one of them,” Alexandra added, clarifying she was speaking solely for herself.
The strained relations between the Pelosis and the Bidens reached a peak when Pelosi spearheaded efforts to halt Biden’s reelection campaign this past July.
Reports indicate that Pelosi threatened to make public polling data illustrating Trump’s significant lead if Biden did not withdraw after a poor debate performance in June.
“It’s the president’s choice whether to run. We’re encouraging him to make that decision because time is precious,” Pelosi noted at that time, implying Biden should renounce his candidacy despite having secured the nomination.
Biden initially resisted the pressure to step down, but overwhelming demands from Democratic leaders eventually led to the discontinuation of his 2024 campaign, with Vice President Kamala Harris taking over as the candidate.
Since then, the relationship between Pelosi and the Bidens has been fraught, with Pelosi reportedly making several attempts to reach out to Biden, all of which were rebuffed, as per Politico.
Biden has indicated publicly that he believes stepping back was a mistake, asserting that he felt capable of defeating Trump based on internal polls.
“She’s been advised that relations are still strained, and further outreach should be avoided because he holds her responsible,” disclosed an unnamed source familiar with Pelosi’s situation, according to Politico.
Moreover, Alexandra Pelosi’s recent remarks were prompted by Jill Biden’s outspoken disappointment regarding Pelosi’s influence on Biden’s exit from the race.
“We were friends for half a century,” the outgoing First Lady shared in a Washington Post article.
“Let’s just say I was dismayed by how everything played out,” she continued. “I don’t know what else to say. I learned quite a bit about human nature.”
