The 45th and 47th President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are marking their 20th wedding anniversary today.

The president took to social media to share a touching message along with a nostalgic photo, describing Melania as an “extraordinary wife and a wonderful mother.”
The couple tied the knot on January 22nd, 2005, at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida.
Their extravagant wedding was said to feature copious amounts of caviar and Cristal champagne, with the venue lavishly decorated with “over 10,000 white orchids and roses,” attended by at least 350 guests.
Notable attendees included Bill and Hillary Clinton, Rudy Giuliani, Donna Summer, Billy Joel, Paul Anka, Shaquille O’Neal (Shaq), and Barbara Walters.
Melania looked stunning in a $100,000 Christian Dior wedding gown, featuring a 13-foot train and a 16-foot-long veil adorned with intricate beading.
In her bestselling memoir, “Melania,” the first lady reflected on her wedding day, sharing her thoughts before the ceremony.
“While my wedding was grand in scale … what I truly felt in my heart was like any other bride on her special day. The pressure to make everything perfect was real, but my main focus was celebrating my love and commitment to Donald, surrounded by those I hold dear,” she wrote.
Donald Trump and Melania Knauss first crossed paths in 1998 at a fashion event in New York.
The couple welcomed their son, Barron Trump, on March 20th, 2006. Barron is currently a freshman at New York University, enrolled in the NYU Stern School of Business.
During his 2024 presidential campaign, Trump acknowledged the role his 18-year-old son played in appealing to younger voters, recommending specific podcasts for his father to guest on.
