Police Confirm 5 People Shot at Adult Education Center in Sweden


There is currently a major police operation underway at Risbergska School in response to reports of a violent crime spree.

Authorities confirm that an attack occurred at an adult education center in Orebro, Sweden, resulting in five individuals being shot. The severity of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Police have categorized the incident as attempted murder, arson, and an aggravated weapons offense.

The shooting transpired within a campus area that houses multiple educational institutions for individuals of all ages.

One such school, Campus Risbergska, caters to students over the age of 20 and offers primary, upper secondary, and vocational courses, as well as Swedish language classes for immigrants and programs tailored to those with intellectual disabilities.

A video from the scene depicted a significant police presence and emergency response vehicles, with students seeking refuge in nearby buildings. Sections of the school were cleared as a precautionary measure in the aftermath of the shooting.

Fortunately, no law enforcement officers sustained injuries during the incident.

Reacting to the news, Justice Minister Gunnar Strommer labeled the attack in Orebro as deeply concerning.
