Kathy Hochul Criticizes Elon Musk, Then Turns to Al Sharpton for Guidance
Governor Kathy Hochul has aligned with fellow Democrats in criticizing President Donald Trump for depending on Elon Musk. But who does she turn to for guidance on the significant matter of potentially ousting New York’s mayor?
Why, the Rev. Al Sharpton.
The individual who is known for inciting violent riots and promoting racial hoaxes.
On Tuesday, Hochul met with The Rev and other Democratic leaders to discuss the idea of removing Mayor Eric Adams from office for the serious charge of possibly assisting President Trump.
It’s troubling enough that Democrats want to (once again) override the voters and unilaterally decide who is deemed an “elected” leader.
But to consult Sharpton, of all people?
Is she looking for the expertise he obtained during the Crown Heights riots?
The devastating Freddy’s Fashion Mart fire (which claimed eight lives)?
The Tawana Brawley hoax?
In Musk, Trump is collaborating with a man whose company successfully caught a rocket midair and is working to rescue astronauts stranded in space, along with his remarkable achievements in electric vehicles, internet satellites, PayPal, and beyond.
Regardless, Hochul criticizes Musk for running a “shadowy” Department of Government Efficiency, joining other Democrats who complain about his “unelected” status.
Yet no one elected Sharpton — who’s failed in the few elections he contested.
And when it comes to determining who serves as New York’s mayor, it should be solely up to the city’s voters.
Not that New York Democrats, despite their rhetoric about “democracy,” genuinely support it.
They continue to plot to maintain a prolonged vacancy in the North Country US House seat; they have repeatedly gerrymandered districts to benefit their own party.
Additionally, they have engaged in dubious legal tactics to undermine now-again-President Donald Trump.
Now, they (or at least their progressive faction) are aiming to remove Adams, disregarding the will of the voters.
When the Democratic Party shows little regard for democracy, it seems fitting that its state leader seeks guidance from a figure known for his divisive actions.
