In the initial month of President Donald Trump’s second term, he has faced over 70 sometimes overlapping lawsuits contesting his actions on financial decisions, federal employment policies, immigration, and various other matters.
Several of these legal challenges are anticipated to make their way to the Supreme Court and could lead to significant precedents clarifying the boundaries of executive authority.
The majority of lawsuits have focused on various executive orders that Trump enacted upon taking office, but some have been filed in reaction to individual firings of public officials, including the former chair of the National Labor Relations Board.
