Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, a self-proclaimed socialist, is facing backlash for featuring a transgender artist who performed a song deemed “pure evil,” which includes lyrics mocking religious figures.

“The song explicitly confronts Christianity, referencing Easter and God’s son,” noted conservative activist Robby Starbuck in a post on X over the weekend.

At Bernie’s rally, transgender singer Laura Jane Grace performed a song mocking God with graphic sexual lyrics that are deeply and purposefully offensive to Christians.
Laura Jane Grace, the musician and frontperson for the punk band Against Me!, released footage of her solo act during the rally, introducing a new song titled “Your God (God’s D–k).”
In her performance, she provocatively sings: “Does your god have a big fat d–k? Cause it feels like he’s f–king me.”

“When he reveals himself does the world bow to its knees?” she continued, as disturbing critics shared more footage.
“Does he chew c– like bubblegum and give b–wjobs like a vacuum?” Grace added in her unsettling two-minute song.
The performance prompted even some Democrats to reassess their alignment, with one individual stating: “I have been a moderate Democrat for much of my life. It’s difficult to articulate how embarrassed and let down I now feel by these individuals. The changes of recent years may be irreversible. Unacceptable.”
Another commenter remarked that “little Bernie has fully embraced darkness before our eyes! What kind of artist puts such thoughts into writing to perform in front of a crowd?”
Grace has been part of the band since its inception in 1997, having initially performed under the name Thomas James Gabel.
She has been a long-time supporter of Bernie Sanders, previously endorsing him in 2020.
During that earlier performance, the artist addressed themes of white supremacy, burning crosses, and firearms.
“God is good and God is great, now get the f–k out of the USA,” she declared in her song Hanging Tree.
Meanwhile, Sanders is conducting a series of town hall events across the nation called “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here.”
His Wisconsin rally, located in a state that shifted from Democrat to Republican in the previous Presidential election, attracted nearly 3,500 attendees eager to hear him speak.
