Bob Menendez: A Convicted Bribery Offender and Poor Husband Who Deserves Immediate Imprisonment

Former Senator Bob Menendez has demonstrated his disgraceful nature right to the bitter end.

His wife, Nadine Menendez, has recently concluded her trial — she was convicted on all 15 federal bribery and conspiracy charges — yet “Gold Bars Bob” apparently failed to attend even once during the proceedings.

In fact, The Post noted that he was not seen at the month-long trial at all.

Moreover, he managed to secure a postponement in reporting to prison (he is set to serve 11 years) by falsely claiming he wanted to “assist” with his wife’s trial.

Indeed, it appears he misled the judge in hopes of delaying his punishment, potentially thinking it might give him time to seek a pardon.

To make matters worse, during his own trial, he shifted blame onto Nadine for his illegal actions.

It’s clear that this man is no candidate for Husband of the Year: He first throws his wife under the bus, pretends to offer help for her trial, and then never shows up.

Bob and Nadine were described as “partners in crime, partners in corruption, and partners in greed,” by prosecutor Lara Pomerantz in her opening statement, yet this scoundrel couldn’t even be bothered to support his wife.

Nadine is slated for sentencing on June 12, just six days after Bob is to begin his prison term.

However, the disgraced former legislator — who exploited his position and failed his constituents — certainly doesn’t merit any additional time in freedom.

The sooner he starts serving his sentence, the closer we are to achieving justice.
