The Topic: President Trump commemorating the first 100 days of his second term on April 30.
By cutting funding to colleges often seen as indoctrination centers, eliminating diversity and inclusion mandates, securing the border, and affirming the existence of only two genders (among other achievements), the president has been highly active during his first 100 days (“Tornadon,” April 30).
He is fulfilling one of his major campaign promises: to tackle the issue of “woke” culture.
Hopefully, this commitment will endure.

The Trump administration has wrapped up its first 100 days.
While there have been notable achievements, some decisions raise serious concerns.
Tariffs on many of our trading partners have disrupted economic stability, affecting both spending and savings.
However, there is positive news concerning public safety, as many violent criminal migrants are being deported.
There is much to be accomplished in the next 100 days, including a review of the dismissals of long-serving federal employees.

I am very pleased with the first 100 days and eagerly anticipate the remainder of Donald J. Trump’s presidency.
God bless our president, and God bless America.

It’s time for Sen. Chuck Schumer to consider getting a new pair of glasses after his claim of “100 days of hell” under Trump.
With better vision, he might see the full success of Trump’s first 100 days.
Achievements include border closure, mass deportations of criminals, reduced fraud and waste in federal budgets, and efforts to bring manufacturing jobs back home.
This isn’t chaos, Chuck. This is what success truly looks like.

Trump is committed to Making America Great Again.
Since day one of his inauguration, he has been active and vigilant on behalf of the American people, as he promised.
Although the initial impact of the tariffs was significant, their long-term benefits will become apparent.
We must recognize and celebrate Trump’s many accomplishments over his first 100 days.
He has made impressive strides at the border after years of mismanagement.

The Topic: Amazon’s decision to drop plans for showing tariff costs on product listings.
It’s disappointing to learn that Amazon considered a partisan stance on consumer pricing transparency regarding tariffs (“Amazon backs down from levy surcharge note,” April 30).
The e-commerce giant fails to provide consumers the necessary transparency about product origins for those wanting to support American-made goods.
Apparently, transparency is only a priority for Amazon when its profits are at stake.

President Trump pressured Amazon against disclosing tariff costs on its products, fearing negative reflections on his administration.
Why has there been a lack of media outcry? This information is certainly something Americans had the right to know.
We heard a lot about the Biden administration’s alleged pressure on social media platforms during the COVID crisis to suppress information.
