5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits San Diego Area – One America News Network

As reported by the U.S. Geological Survey, a preliminary earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale has been detected near San Diego, California.

On Monday morning, the USGS indicated that the earthquake’s epicenter was located near Julian, California, a small town situated 30 miles northeast of downtown San Diego.

Initially assessed as a 6.0 magnitude, the quake was promptly revised to 5.2.

Currently, there are no reports of damage or injuries stemming from the incident.

An emergency alert was issued for residents in Southern California advising, “Earthquake Detected! Drop, Cover, Hold On. Protect Yourself.”
