76% of Viewers Support Trump’s Congressional Address – One America News Network

A recent poll indicates that viewers who tuned in for President Donald Trump’s congressional address largely appreciated the engaging speech.

As per a CBS News survey, a significant 76% of the audience expressed approval of Trump’s first address to Congress during his second term.

Trump highlighted numerous achievements since his inauguration on January 20th and stated, “we are just getting started.”

The survey found that 91% of respondents felt that the 47th president addressed issues that mattered to them, while 74% described the address as entertaining.

In total, 71% of participants felt inspired by the speech, 62% considered it unifying, and fewer than half (46%) deemed it divisive.

When asked about their feelings following the speech, 68% reported feeling “hopeful,” 54% felt “proud,” while 27% said they were “worried” and 16% expressed feeling “angry.”

The poll also examined whether Trump has a definite strategy for tackling inflation, with 68% affirming that he does and 32% disagreeing.

Respondents were also questioned about Trump’s proposals to curb unnecessary government spending (77% approval, 23% disapproval), immigration and border control (77%, 23%), the Ukraine-Russia situation (73%, 27%), and tariffs (65%, 35%).

Moreover, 76% of respondents approved of the removal of Representative Al Green (D-Texas), who was disruptive during Trump’s speech.

Trump asserted that the nation’s spirit, patriotism, momentum, and confidence have returned, proclaiming, “the American Dream is surging — bigger and better than ever before.”

He stated, “The American Dream is unstoppable, and our country is on the brink of an unprecedented comeback, the likes of which the world has never seen and may never witness again.”

“In the past six weeks, I have enacted almost 100 executive orders and undertaken over 400 executive actions to restore common sense, safety, optimism, and prosperity throughout our great land. The people elected me to execute this duty, and I am fulfilling that promise. Many have claimed that the initial month of our presidency is the most successful in our nation’s history.”

The CBS News survey included 1,207 adults who watched the president’s address to Congress on Tuesday evening.
