A WH War Room Established in Anticipation of Impeachment Inquiry
President Joe Biden’s White House has established a war room filled with attorneys, legislative aides, and communications staffers to combat a potential Republican impeachment inquiry into allegations of Biden’s influence peddling. The war room, which consists of around 24 lawyers, has been in development for months and aims to push back against the impeachment inquiry, calling it a baseless partisan move. House Republicans have suggested that an impeachment inquiry is becoming more likely as investigations into Biden’s son’s business dealings uncover alleged misconduct. Biden’s team is researching past impeachments, such as President Bill Clinton’s in 1998, to develop an effective defense strategy. The war room also aims to allow other administration officials to focus on governing rather than being weighed down by ongoing investigations.
