After Super Tuesday, Biden Campaign Reaches Out to Haley Supporters

Following GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s losses on Super Tuesday, a Biden campaign official extended an invitation to her supporters to join the reelection bid of the Democratic incumbent.

On Wednesday, Rufus Gifford, the finance chair for the 2024 Biden-Harris campaign, posted on X, inviting the supporters of @NikkiHaley to join @JoeBiden’s campaign, stating, “we may not agree on every issue but @JoeBiden’s campaign is open to all looking to move our country forward.” He also included a message to feel free to DM him.

The post included a screenshot of a message from former President Donald Trump on Truth Social, where he criticized Haley and stated that his movement did not want her supporters.

Multiple media outlets reported on Wednesday morning that Haley was planning to suspend her 2024 presidential campaign after losing in 14 states to Trump the night before.

Trump secured victories in various states on Tuesday night and is closing in on the required delegates for the Republican Party presidential nomination.

Haley won Vermont and has a total of 89 delegates, with exit polls indicating some of her voters in Virginia and North Carolina approve of Biden as president.

Trump’s remarks on Super Tuesday night at Mar-a-Lago estate included criticisms of Biden, hinting at a likely rematch in November.

Following the results, the former South Carolina governor is expected to make a concession speech in Charleston, although her campaign suspension was not officially announced.
