In response to ongoing inquiries from journalists about the sentiments of other Cabinet members regarding Elon Musk’s frequent visits to the White House and his role in presidential initiatives, 47th President Donald Trump stated that all Cabinet members are “extremely happy” with Musk’s contributions.

On Wednesday, Trump utilized his Truth Social platform to dispel rumors of discord between certain Cabinet members and Musk, who collaborates with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to eliminate government waste, fraud, and excessive spending.
“ALL CABINET MEMBERS ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH ELON,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “The Media will see that at the Cabinet Meeting this morning!!!”
During the Cabinet meeting, a reporter questioned Musk about whether any Cabinet members were displeased with his significant involvement in various new administration initiatives, particularly as an unelected official — which prompted an interruption from Trump.
“Is anyone unhappy with Elon? If you are, we’ll show you the door,” Trump remarked, drawing mixed reactions of applause from the Cabinet members gathered around the table in the Cabinet Room. “They have a great deal of respect for Elon and appreciate what he’s doing. Some may have minor disagreements, but I can assure you that, for the most part, everyone is not just happy, they’re thrilled.”
During the meeting, Musk highlighted DOGE’s objective to reduce the deficit, cautioning that failing to implement sufficient cuts could lead the U.S. to “become de facto bankrupt.”
“That’s the reason I’m here. I’m taking quite a bit of flack, and receiving a lot of death threats, by the way,” Musk mentioned.
Only 37 days have passed since Trump regained the presidency. According to estimates, DOGE has already saved the U.S. federal government $65 billion. Musk has previously hinted at the possibility of providing U.S. citizens with “$5,000” dividends.
However, given the increasing amount of government funds preserved, it remains uncertain if the amount distributed to Americans could exceed $5,000—contingent upon the approval of the dividends proposal.
The DOGE website’s “Savings” tab states: “Let’s balance the budget! DOGE’s total estimated savings are $65 billion, which arises from strategies including fraud detection/deletion, contract/lease cancellations, contract/lease renegotiations, asset sales, grant cancellations, workforce reductions, programmatic changes, and regulatory savings.
We are committed to uploading all of this information in a comprehensible and fully transparent manner with clear assumptions, in accordance with applicable regulations. To begin, below is a subset of contract and lease cancellations; for the former, these contracts have been publicly posted on www.fpds.gov. Please note that the FPDS posting of final termination notices may have up to a 1-month lag. There may be discrepancies between FPDS and the listed numbers, the latter of which originate directly from the agency contracting officials. If you wish to report a potential discrepancy, please DM the @DOGE X account.
