Amb. James Jeffrey tells Newsmax that Swiss Peace Summit is Insignificant

According to experts interviewed by Newsmax, the peace summit in Switzerland and the cease-fire proposal by Vladimir Putin for Ukraine are currently meaningless, and the U.S. must fully commit to supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression.

“We need to provide more weapons to Ukraine quickly and allow them to use them to strike into Russia under certain conditions,” said former ambassador James Jeffrey. “The Putin cease-fire offer is not genuine and is unacceptable to the Ukrainians.”

Peace talks may be necessary in the future, but the recent events have not yielded any significant progress. President Biden’s involvement in supporting Ukraine at the G7 summit was crucial, despite the optics of his absence at the peace summit.

Retired Brig. Gen. Anthony Tata criticized the Biden administration for showing weakness in foreign policy decisions, particularly in regards to Ukraine and the Middle East. He also expressed concern about Russia sending submarines to Cuba, which poses a threat to the U.S.
