Anthony Tata urges Newsmax to report on the importance of disrupting China’s fentanyl networks in the U.S.

If the Biden administration wants to address China’s role in the fentanyl crisis, it should focus on securing the border and apprehending Chinese drug traffickers to disrupt the networks, asserted retired U.S. Army Brigadier Gen. Anthony Tata during a segment on Newsmax Sunday.

Reflecting on Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Tata emphasized five points discussed, noting China’s lack of integrity in negotiations. He mentioned the AI discussion and suggested it could be an attempt by China to acquire knowledge and technology from the U.S.

Tata criticized Blinken for his handling of the conversation, highlighting China’s dishonesty. Blinken raised concerns about China’s support for Russia, activities in Ukraine, Taiwan, and the South China Sea, human rights violations, and production of synthetic opioids.

Robert Wilkie, also present during the program, criticized the Biden administration for understating China’s adversarial nature and focusing on challenges instead. He expressed apprehensions about the administration’s distraction with issues in Ukraine and the Middle East, neglecting China’s activities in the Indo-Pacific region.

Tata also discussed the foreign aid bill’s provision that could result in banning TikTok in the U.S. if its Chinese-linked owner, ByteDance, fails to divest itself from the company. He emphasized the extent of Chinese data collection and the need to prevent it from influencing operations in the U.S.

Regarding social media, Tata acknowledged the significance of platforms like TikTok but raised concerns about its ties to China. He expressed uncertainty about separating TikTok from China but acknowledged the platform’s popularity and potential impact on businesses.
