Arizona Poll Reveals Divided Voters’ Opinions on Trump Accusations

Arizona Republican voters are divided in their support for former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election amidst four criminal indictments, as per a poll released on Tuesday by Noble Predictive Insights.

The poll, conducted from Feb. 6-13 with 1,002 registered voters, shows a split in beliefs regarding Trump’s legal issues, with about a third believing he is innocent, a third stating he is guilty, and another third waiting for court rulings.

Key findings from the poll:

• 54% believe Trump should not be allowed to run for any political office if found guilty.
• 49% of moderate Republicans and 54% of party-first Republicans think Trump should still be permitted to run if convicted, while 30% of moderate Republicans and 31% of party-first Republicans disagree.
• 72% of voters believe no president should be immune to prosecution for potential crimes.
• 11% believe Trump is guilty and should face prosecution, in contrast to 65% of Democrats who agree; 40% of moderate Republicans and 41% of party-first Republicans defer to court decisions, whereas 43% of moderate Republicans and 44% of party-first Republicans believe Trump is innocent.

“This is a challenging matter for Republicans: Democrats are cohesive, but the GOP is divided,” remarked David Byler. “If Trump is ultimately found guilty, this could become a significant issue for Democrats in the upcoming elections.”

The poll has a margin of error of 3.1%.
