Biden Administration Refuses to Release Buttigieg’s Jet Travel Records
The Biden administration has delayed the release of documents regarding Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s use of private government jets, according to the conservative watchdog group Americans for Public Trust (APT). APT had filed a lawsuit against the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to obtain information on Buttigieg’s flights, but the agency has reportedly missed deadlines and withheld records. The FAA apparently located 32 records in response to APT’s requests, but plans to release them on October 31. Private jets are significantly more polluting than commercial aircraft and trains, which is notable considering Buttigieg’s stance on climate change.
