Biden and Trump Neck-and-Neck in Quinnipiac Poll
According to a Quinnipiac University poll, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are in a virtual tie in a hypothetical matchup for a general election. The survey shows that 47% of respondents would support Biden, while 46% would back Trump. This is the closest polling has been on this subject all year. Other findings from the poll include Biden leading among independent voters, a higher favorability rating for Biden compared to Trump, and a majority of respondents believing that Trump should be prosecuted on criminal charges for attempting to overturn the 2020 election results. The poll was conducted among 1,818 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.3 percentage points.
