Biden Campaign Accuses Trump of Playing Games with Debates

According to the Biden campaign, Donald Trump has a history of manipulating debates, as he announced a third debate in October without consulting Biden’s team.

“President Biden was clear about his terms for two one-on-one debates, which Donald Trump agreed to,” stated Jen O’Malley Dillon, Biden’s campaign chair. “No more games, chaos, or confusion about debates.”

The original agreement was for two debates, one on CNN on June 27th and the other on ABC News on Sept. 10. However, Trump announced another debate on Fox News for Oct. 2, which Biden’s team declined.

O’Malley Dillon highlighted Trump’s history of debate manipulation, noting his complaints about rules, last-minute cancellations, and failure to show up in past election cycles. Despite Trump’s claims of being willing to debate anytime and anywhere, Biden had set clear terms for two debates, which Trump accepted.

“We’ll see Donald Trump on June 27th in Atlanta – if he shows up,” O’Malley Dillon added.
