Biden Campaign Introduces new $14M Advertising Push

President Joe Biden’s campaign is investing $14 million in new advertising across battleground states, targeting former President Donald Trump’s attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

In an Obamacare ad, Biden emphasizes, “Health care should be a basic right. Folks, he’s coming for your health care, and we’re not going to let that happen,” as reported by NBC News.

The campaign plans to spend seven figures on television, digital, and radio ads this month to reach minority voters, building on a $30 million ad campaign that followed the president’s State of the Union address in March.

Biden’s re-election campaign is focusing on protecting abortion rights and healthcare, considering Trump’s attacks on Obamacare a vulnerability for him.

The administration reported 20 million sign-ups for insurance through Obamacare marketplaces this year, and Biden has highlighted recent healthcare achievements, such as capping insulin prices at $35 a month for senior citizens.

While Trump stated he does not want to repeal the Affordable Care Act and aims to improve it, the Biden campaign is leveraging its fundraising advantage to expand operations in key states.

Dan Kanninen, director of battleground states for the campaign, revealed plans to have 200 offices and 500 staff by the end of the month, emphasizing Trump’s lack of presence in battleground states, which was disputed by Trump’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt.

Leavitt insisted that the Trump campaign has paid staffers and volunteer-powered field programs in every battleground state, with ongoing expansions, and criticized the Biden campaign for seeking media attention to boost momentum.
