Biden Campaign Kicks Off $14 Million Advertising Campaign

President Joe Biden’s campaign is investing $14 million in new advertising across battleground states, focusing on attacking former President Donald Trump’s attempts to repeal Obamacare.

“Healthcare should be a basic right,” Biden states in the Obamacare ad, as reported by NBC News. “Folks, he’s coming for your healthcare, and we’re not going to let that happen.”

This spending includes seven figures for television, digital, and radio ads this month to engage minority voters, following a $30 million ad campaign after the president’s State of the Union address in March.

The campaign is leveraging its fundraising advantage over Trump to saturate battleground states with staff and ads.

Biden’s campaign is focusing on preserving abortion rights and healthcare, viewing Trump’s attacks on Obamacare as a weakness for him.

In January, the administration reported that 20 million people enrolled in insurance through Obamacare marketplaces this year.

Biden has highlighted recent healthcare actions, such as capping insulin prices at $35 per month for seniors.

Trump stated last month that he doesn’t want to repeal the Affordable Care Act but plans to improve it to be “much better and less expensive.”

The Biden campaign is expanding its presence in key states this month, using its successful fundraising efforts to extend operations.

“By the end of the month, we will have at least 200 offices and 500 staff,” said Dan Kanninen, director of battleground states for the campaign, asserting that Trump’s campaign lacks significant presence in battleground states, a claim disputed by Trump’s camp.

“The claim that we lack staff in battleground states is simply untrue,” stated Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s national press secretary. “We have paid staff and volunteer-driven field programs in all battleground states, with ongoing expansions.”
