President Joe Biden addressed reporters in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, stating that he currently has no home to go to. The Secret Service has been making security upgrades to his primary residence in Wilmington, which has caused him to stay elsewhere. He clarified that he is not homeless and has a beautiful home, but currently cannot go there. Biden had planned to spend Labor Day weekend in Rehoboth Beach but changed his plans due to Hurricane Ida. He will be traveling to Philadelphia on Monday for a rally. Previously, he and his family vacationed in Nevada’s Lake Tahoe region. The Republican National Committee often criticizes Biden for leaving the White House on weekends.
