Biden Criticizes Trump, Referring to Him as a ‘Convicted Felon’

President Joe Biden criticized his predecessor and potential opponent in the upcoming election, Donald Trump, for being found guilty on 34 felony counts by a Manhattan jury. Biden stated on Monday night that “this campaign has entered uncharted territory.”

Speaking at a fundraiser in Greenwich, Connecticut, Biden emphasized that the former president is attempting to convince people that the system is rigged when in reality, it is not.

Biden reiterated his belief that the justice system is a fundamental pillar of American democracy and should be respected. He condemned Trump’s claims of a rigged system and criticized his attempts to undermine the judiciary and electoral processes.

Despite Trump’s convictions, Biden warned that the former president poses a greater threat in a potential second term, as he has become more dangerous and unhinged. He highlighted Trump’s refusal to accept his defeat in the 2020 election and suggested that his actions are destabilizing the country.

The president did not address the federal gun case involving his son Hunter, which began on the same day in Delaware. Trump’s campaign adviser, Jason Miller, accused Biden of trying to distract from his son’s trial.

Biden concluded his remarks by raising concerns about the future implications of a potential Trump presidency in 2024, emphasizing the need to protect American democracy from destabilizing forces.
