Biden Gains Momentum Heading Towards Super Tuesday Clean Sweep
President Joe Biden secured multiple victories on Super Tuesday, positioning himself for a potential rematch with former President Donald Trump in the upcoming general election.
Biden emerged as the projected winner in more than half of the states at play on Tuesday, claiming triumphs in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Minnesota, and Utah.
The Super Tuesday contests, encompassing 16 states and one territory, mark a pivotal moment in the presidential race, with numerous delegates up for grabs.
By around 9:45 p.m., Biden had garnered 839 delegates out of the 1,968 needed to secure victory, as reported by Decision Desk HQ. Only two delegates remained uncommitted, following efforts by Democrats to express concerns over Biden’s Gaza policy.
Biden is scheduled to deliver the State of the Union address on Thursday before embarking on a campaign trail through swing states like Pennsylvania and Georgia.
