Biden Grants Last-Minute Blanket Pardon to Family Members – One America News Network

Former President Joe Biden granted last-minute pardons for his family members just moments before President Donald Trump took office.

Biden’s “full and unconditional” pardons were extended to James B. Biden, Sara Jones Biden, Valerie Biden Owens, Jon T. Owens, and Francis W. Biden.
The pardon provides the Biden family members immunity for “any nonviolent offenses against the United States which they may have committed or participated in during the period from January 1, 2024, to the date of this pardon.”
Biden remarked, “The issuance of these pardons should not be viewed as an admission that they committed any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be interpreted as an admission of guilt for any offense.”
The sweeping pardon for Biden family members comes after calls from Republican lawmakers urging President Trump to investigate James Biden for allegedly lying to Congress and accepting foreign funds without registration.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) recently sent a letter to Trump’s attorney general nominee, Pam Bondi, urging the DOJ to “hold James Biden accountable for misleading Congress to protect his brother, soon-to-be-former President Biden.”
James Biden has faced scrutiny after it was disclosed that he transferred $240,000 to Joe Biden in 2017 and 2018, purportedly from sources linked to foreign influence peddling.
Moreover, Biden also granted a blanket pardon to his son Hunter, absolving him of any crimes dating back to 2014, when he became a board member of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy firm.
“President Biden’s latest maneuver to shield his family’s alleged corruption reinforces his reputation as leading the most corrupt political family to occupy the presidency in American history,” Comer stated after Hunter’s pardon. “It indicates however that accountability for his son is lacking in the judicial system.”
“Both his and Hunter Biden’s misleading statements have not gone unnoticed by the Committees: every instance points to Joe Biden’s awareness of and participation in his family’s dealings,” he added. “James Biden’s rejection of Joe Biden’s interaction with James, Hunter, and their business associate Tony Bobulinski regarding a Chinese deal, despite being presented with evidence, appears to be a clumsily crafted effort to shield Joe Biden from the truth.”
Earlier the same day, Biden also issued preemptive pardons for Dr. Anthony Fauci, former representative Liz Cheney, General Mike Milley, and various members of Congress connected to the January 6th investigation.
