Biden’s aides finding it challenging to shield the President from protests
According to NBC News, aides to President Joe Biden are employing various strategies to prevent pro-Palestinian protests at White House and campaign events.
NBC sources revealed that Biden’s aides are taking measures to reduce distractions during his public appearances, such as scheduling him in smaller venues and keeping the exact event locations undisclosed until his arrival.
One unnamed Biden ally mentioned that Biden excels in small venues and thrives in retail politics, although this approach may reach fewer voters. The goal is to reach as many voters as possible, which small events may not accomplish.
For an upcoming fundraiser featuring Biden, former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and moderated by Stephen Colbert, the campaign plans to implement a more secretive approach. Organizers are considering third-party vetting of attendees, with ticket prices expected to deter non-supporters from attending.
Earlier this week, police arrested several pro-Palestinian protestors at 30 Rockefeller Center in Manhattan during Biden’s interview on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
