Biden’s Awkward Video Moments Dismissed as ‘Cheap Fakes’
The White House claimed on Monday that recent videos showing President Joe Biden appearing confused, addled, or motionless are simply “cheap fakes.”
During Monday’s press briefing, press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre, in a discussion with Newsmax chief White House correspondent James Rosen, stated that Republicans are using “cheap fake videos” in bad faith to portray Biden negatively.
These “cheap fakes” are videos altered manually, not through advanced AI technology like deep fake videos.
The White House denied claims that Biden wandered off at the G7 summit, tried to sit in a nonexistent chair, zoned out during a Juneteenth celebration, or froze up at a Los Angeles fundraiser, dismissing them all as “cheap fakes.”
In response to Rosen’s question, Jean-Pierre asserted, “That was definitely a cheap fake,” referring to the G7 moment and explained the actual context behind it. Similarly, she defended Biden’s behavior at the Juneteenth celebration.
“Republicans are trying to discredit Biden using these cheap fake videos in bad faith,” Jean-Pierre added.
