Biden’s Military-Focused Ad Takes Aim at Trump
During his visit to Normandy, France, on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, President Joe Biden’s campaign released an ad criticizing former President Donald Trump for his reported comments about military service members.
The one-minute ad features scenes from the Aisne-Marne American cemetery, where World War II soldiers are buried, along with images of soldiers and their families, and coffins draped in American flags. Over these images, quotes attributed to Trump, including one where he allegedly called fallen marines “suckers,” are displayed.
A spokesperson for the Trump campaign responded, accusing Biden of disrespecting U.S. service members and highlighting instances where Biden allegedly showed a lack of empathy and respect for soldiers and their families.
The Biden campaign fired back in a statement, stating that Trump has shown no respect for soldiers, their families, or the freedoms they defend. In contrast, President Biden, a military father, values and respects soldiers and their families.
