Bill Barr Supports Trump and Believes Biden Poses a Greater Threat to Democracy
Former Attorney General Bill Barr, who served in the Trump administration, is putting aside past grievances with his former boss and endorsing him.
Barr expressed concerns that President Joe Biden’s administration poses a greater threat to American democracy than Trump.
“The Biden administration is, in fact, the greater threat to democracy,” Barr, 73, told Fox News on Saturday.
He continued, stating, “I think that they have a totalitarian temper. They have bought into the progressive movement and they’re trying to suppress opposition and freedom of speech.
“It’s a heavy-handed group in my opinion, and that’s where the threat lies.”
Despite previous disagreements over election fraud claims, Barr, a notable critic of Trump, emphasized his support for the former president in the upcoming election.
“While endorsing Trump, Barr acknowledged their policy alignment, despite his personal reservations about Trump’s behavior.
“I was supportive of his policies. I think his policies were good. My issues arose from his behavior, which I found troubling after the election,” Barr said.
