Bill Passed to Provide Full Social Security Benefits for Public Sector Retirees
On Saturday morning, senators reached a bipartisan agreement, voting 76-20 in favor of a bill that will grant full Social Security benefits to over 2.8 million public pension recipients. These individuals, who currently receive lowered payments, will now be able to access benefits comparable to those of other retirees.
