Bishop Strickland Tells Newsmax that Separation of Church and State has been ‘Weaponized’

In an interview with Newsmax on Saturday, Bishop Joseph Strickland, the recipient of the Ronald Reagan Award at the Conservative Political Action Conference, expressed his views on the separation of church and state, calling it “weaponized” in today’s context.

Strickland believes that the constitutional provision on the separation of church and state has been misunderstood and misinterpreted, becoming a tool for manipulation rather than a beneficial practice. He shared his thoughts during an episode of “America Right Now” on Newsmax.

Despite facing controversy after being removed from his position as Bishop of Tyler, Texas last November, Strickland continues to speak out on various issues. He emphasized that even Jesus Christ was political in his teachings and interactions with authority figures.

During his speech at CPAC, Strickland highlighted the importance of humility and boldness in advocating for what is right. He stressed the need to stay true to one’s beliefs and connect with the ultimate source of power, God.

Regarding the current societal shifts, Strickland underlined the significance of humility and truth in combating ideologies like Marxism and socialism. He urged people to focus on God’s revelations and embrace the profound truth of His love for all individuals.
