Blaine Holt Tells Newsmax that Israel Plans to Ramp Up Actions Against Hezbollah
Retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier Gen. Blaine Holt stated on Newsmax that Israel will dismantle Hamas this summer and then shift focus to Lebanese Hezbollah as the next adversary.
Holt, speaking on Newsmax’s “Sunday Report,” emphasized the significant battle in Rafah and described it as a pivotal moment in the ongoing conflict initiated by Hamas in October.
Highlighting the complexities of urban warfare, Holt remarked, “Urban warfare is the PhD level of warfare. It is the hardest there is. There is nothing worse.”
Despite a tactical pause near Rafah to allow humanitarian aid, Holt criticized Hamas for obstructing aid delivery to civilians caught in the crossfire. He condemned Hamas for using aid for their own gain rather than helping those in need.
Regarding Hezbollah, Holt warned of escalating violence, stating that the conflict is already extremely bloody and violent with no signs of a ceasefire in sight.
When discussing negotiations with Hamas, Holt highlighted their lack of leverage due to their inability to verify the status of hostages. He emphasized that the only options for Hamas are to surrender or face defeat on the battlefield.
