Bobulinski: Biden Failed to Prevent Chinese Infiltration of White House

The Chinese Communist Party, through the government-held CEFC or China Energy Company Limited, “successfully sought to infiltrate and compromise” former President Barack Obama’s White House, in particular then-Vice President Joe Biden, Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of Hunter Biden’s, claimed in his transcribed interview this week before the House Oversight Committee.

The alleged infiltration started in the fourth quarter of 2015 and continued until after Biden left office in January 2017, and then through March 2018, when the company’s chairman, Ye Jianming, was detained for corruption and never seen again, Bobulinski told committee members, according to a transcript of the interview released Friday.

The “aggressive approach” to Biden’s family started just after he announced on Oct. 21, 2015, that he would not seek the presidency, said Bobulinski.

The CEFC then used Hunter Biden, his family’s “weakest link” and endeavored to lure him with promises of large sums of money, he added.

“Joe Biden was aware of the CEFC transaction, enabled it, and had a constitutional responsibility and an obligation to the American people to shut it down before it began,” said Bobulinski.

During the testimony, Bobulinski spoke about emails that referred to Biden as the “big guy,” as well as attending a business meeting with Chinese investors in 2017, after he’d left the White House.

According to reports from congressional Republicans, CEFC, which was involved in Beijing’s “Belt and Road” campaign, paid Hunter and James Biden more than $7 million in 2017 and 2018.

The now-president has also been shown to have attended a meeting at the Washington, D.C., Four Seasons Hotel in 2017 with Chairman Ye, according to other witnesses testifying to the committee.

“Joe Biden was more than a participant in and a beneficiary of his family’s business,” he testified. “He was an enabler, despite being buffered by a complex scheme to maintain plausible deniability… . The only reason any of these international business transactions took place, with tens of millions of dollars flowing directly to the Biden family, was because Joe Biden was in high office. The Biden family business was Joe Biden, period.”
