Brandon Judd criticizes Biden’s actions, saying they are responsible for the surge at the El Paso border, in an interview with Newsmax.

A group of over 100 migrants forcefully breached the El Paso, Texas, border fence on Thursday, pushing over guards in the process. This surge is a direct consequence of the actions taken by the Biden administration, as stated by National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd in an interview with Newsmax.

“They have been encouraged by this administration to disregard our laws. They are aware that they can act with impunity because they do not believe our laws apply to them,” Judd explained on “Newsline.”

Judd went on to mention, “I have spoken with numerous individuals in custody who have admitted they are aware the administration will release them. President Biden’s actions have essentially invited them to cross our borders illegally. They are aware they will be let go without consequences, so we can anticipate seeing this behavior repeatedly. In this instance, there happened to be a camera present. Unfortunately, these individuals have no regard for our laws.”

The incident occurred two days after a federal appeals court once again halted Texas from apprehending and deporting migrants accused of entering the U.S. illegally, a short while after the law briefly took effect.

In January, arrests for illegal border crossings dropped by 50% from the record high of 250,000 in December, with significant decreases in Texas.

The Del Rio sector, where Gov. Greg Abbott’s enforcement initiatives have been concentrated, saw a 76% decrease in arrests from December.

The Rio Grande Valley, a prominent route for illegal border crossings in recent years, recorded its lowest number of arrests since June 2020.
