Carson Responds to Newsmax, Discusses ‘Ideological’ Reasons for Alaska School Ban
Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson claims that “ideology” was behind a decision to bar him from speaking at an elementary school in Anchorage, Alaska. The superintendent of the school district unilaterally made the decision to ban Carson from visiting, stating that there was no violation of school board policy but that it was within his authority to make the call. Carson believes that politics and ideology have infiltrated the education system to the detriment of students. Despite the ban, Carson is still set to visit private schools in Anchorage as a guest of the Republican mayor. Carson also expressed concerns about new masking directives and the lack of government trust in science and medicine since the COVID-19 pandemic. He criticized the CDC for not acknowledging natural immunity and the ineffectiveness of mask-wearing, as well as the government’s refusal to approve alternative treatments like Ivermectin. Carson believes that the government has agendas other than the truth, which is detrimental when people don’t trust their government.
