Carville: Democratic Party Polls Suffering from “Too Many Preachy” Female Leaders
According to Democratic strategist James Carville, the Democratic Party may be losing support among voters because there are “too many preachy females” in the party. Carville made these remarks in an interview with The New York Times published on Saturday.
Carville emphasized that the messaging and culture of the Democratic Party might be alienating male voters. He expressed his concern about the party coming across as too feminine, urging people to avoid certain activities like drinking beer, watching football, or eating hamburgers.
In reference to the focus on women and women of color in the upcoming election, Carville remarked, “Well, 48% of the people that vote are males. Do you mind if they have some consideration?”
Carville also humorously mentioned Biden’s low approval ratings, comparing it to an uncomfortable image in one’s mind. He has previously expressed concerns about Biden’s decreasing support among voters of color.
Recent polls have shown a decline in support among Black Americans, while the Democrats’ lead among Hispanic adults is at its lowest since 2011. The Biden campaign is working on outreach efforts to voters of color, emphasizing the potential negative impact of another term for former President Donald Trump on these groups.
